Estimated read time: Less than 1 minute.

This week former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, gave his thoughts on Web3 during a CNBC interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, and commented about Web3 stating that the overarching "vision is correct [but], the tech to make it happen needs to get built."Why it matters: Schmidt ‘a comments here are extremely bullish for Web3, but the most interesting part of his comments are how he emphasizes that Ethereum can only eat the world if it scales. The trade: It's worth looking into Ethereum scaling solutions like Polygon, Optimism, and Arbitrum , as they help Ethereum scale.
The bottom line: This tech will take years to develop, but when it does, it will eat the world.
Eric Schmidt isn't only putting his words behind Web3; he's also putting his time in by joining Chainlink Labs as an advisor and has served in this role since December 7, 2021. Why it matters: Eric Schmidt is doing a lot more than saying flowery things to people who watch CNBC; he's advising the protocol, building the future of trust.
